How to Wire a Gioteck Mic

Gioteck makes a variety of gaming peripherals for various consoles, including two headsets specifically designed for the Xbox 360 console. The TX-1 Throat Mic and EX-03 wired headset are for use in online games over Xbox Live. Both come with a microphone and headphones that allow players to communicate with their friends and teammates during online matches. Wiring the mics to your console requires only an official Xbox 360 controller or a third party Xbox 360 controller with a 3.5mm input.

Instructions

  Power on the Xbox 360 console and sync a wireless controller to it if you haven't done so already. Wired controllers are also acceptable but must be plugged into one of the console's two USB ports on the front.

  Plug the Gioteck mic's 3.5mm plug into the 3.5mm input at the bottom of the Xbox 360 controller.

  Power on the Gioteck mic by turning the volume switch on the microphone cable to "On." The microphone should now be wired into the controller, which transmits the audio signals to and from the console.
