How to Get Frost Swords in Final Fantasy XII

Help Vaan and his friends return the science fiction world of Ivalice to the people after it is forcefully taken over by the Archadian Empire in "Final Fantasy XII." Fight a variety of bosses and monsters to rid the land of the evil that possesses it. To aid them in their quest, players can use a variety of weapons, some of which have elemental properties to make them stronger. The Icebrand is a sword with the power of ice, or frost, and is useful against enemies weak against that element.

  Purchase the Icebrand in weapons shops located in Rabanastre, Nalbina or Mosphoran Highwaste for a cost of 7000 gil, the currency used in "Final Fantasy XII." The sword is available in the shops of each of these towns after you defeat Judge Bergan.

  Earn the Icebrand as a reward for the "For Whom the Wyrm Tolls" hunt. Go to the Sandsea, which is located in Rabanastre. View the notice board to see the available hunts.

  Find Balzac in the North Sprawl section of Lowtown after reading the bill. Speak to Balzac and accept the hunt from him. Go to the Dalamasca Westersand and travel west to the Windtrace Dunes.

  Locate the Ring Wyrm at Windtrace Dunes during a sandstorm. Travel around and return to the dunes periodically if there is no sandstorm, until one appears. Defeat the Ring Wyrm.

  Return to Balzac in the Lowtown section of Rabanastre. Receive 200 gil, a Moon Ring and an Icebrand from him as your bounty for defeating the Ring Wyrm.
