Things You'll Need
Instructions
Remove the battery pack and the seven security screws holding the back panel to the controller. These security screws require the security Torx T8H to be removed because a normal torque wrench will not fit the proprietary screws.
Remove the rumble motors located inside the controller. Grip the insert, holding the red and black wire, and carefully slide it out of the clip. The wires can break, but are easily soldered back together and taped with electrical tape.
Removed the current LED lights from the controller. Apply a small amount of solder to the iron and heat it. Tap the tip of the soldering iron to the terminals quickly on each LED. It should allow the LED light to float freely from the board and be picked up.
Place the braid on top of each terminal. Touch the soldering iron to each braid and secure it to the terminals. This will allow for clean placement of the new LED lights.
Grasp the LED light with the tweezers. Do not squeeze too hard or you may crack or destroy the LED. Apply a small dab of solder to each terminal and gently place the LED to connect to each terminal.
