How to Play a Co-op in Red Dead Offline

"Red Dead Redemption" is an action/adventure video game developed by Rockstar Games for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Set in the Wild West near the end of the 19th century, the player takes the role of a former outlaw named John Marston who has to fight against people who were once his friends. You can play the Xbox 360 version of the game in co-op mode offline through an Xbox 360 system link.

Things You'll Need

  • Ethernet crossover cable (works for 2 consoles only) -OR-
  • Router or network hub (works for 2-8 consoles) and Ethernet cable for each console

Instructions

    • 1

      Connect the Ethernet crossover cable to the network port on your Xbox 360 and then plug the other end of the cable into your friend's Xbox 360. If you have more than one console to connect, skip this step and read on. Otherwise, skip to step three.

      Plug each individual Xbox 360 into your router or network hub using a regular Ethernet cable and turn on the router/network hub. The router/network hub does not need to be connected to the Internet.

      Turn on each Xbox 360 console and insert the "Red Dead Redemption" game disc into each console. Select the "System Link" option from the "Co-op" screen to play the game in co-op mode without being online.
