How to Make a Moving Robot on Halo 3 Forge Mode

There's more than one way to skin a cat, as the old saying goes, and there's more than one way to build a huge robot in "Halo 3." Forge Mode is the editing suite in "Halo 3," which is one of the most popular first-person shooter games. In Forge Mode, you can forge bridges, produce maps and put together giant robots with laser beams shooting out of their eyes and flames spewing from their mouths. "Halo 3" fans have created several kinds of robots.

Instructions

  1. Head to the Warehouse or the Ice Field

    • 1

Go to a flat area either in the Warehouse or the Ice Field. Place two double boxes fairly close together. Place two vertical boxes for the robot's legs.

    • 2

Place two double boxes on top for the body. Set all of them to place at start:no.

    • 3

Place a spawn point, then start a new round.

    • 4

Pull a grenade, throw it at your feet and stand there while it goes off. Having your player commit suicide allows you to move to the next phase.

    • 5

Put two more double boxes on top of your robot but on the other side.

    Adjust the Run Time

    • 6

Double-tap "X," then select "run time minimum to the max." Put everything to place at start:yes.

    • 7

Put a single box in the middle for the robot's neck. Place a single, open box for the head.

    • 8

Create an overshield camo for the eyes, then hold them where you want them. Put the run time minimum to the max.

    • 9

Get a double box and place it where you think the arms should be. You can also use two forklifts. Save your robot and exit.

    • 10

Make two more arms facing toward you. Get inside your robot's head -- literally. Bound into the opening in the head and turn to face the world.
