How to Get No Betraying on Halo Trial

Playing online in a competitive first-person shooter can be intimidating for a new gamer, particularly if the game of choice is one of the entries in the celebrated "Halo" series of games. The worry of not performing well can cause a fair amount of anxiety, particularly if the player is worried about accidentally killing his teammates. When a teammate is killed by friendly fire, the player responsible for the kill will be given a "Betrayal." This docks the player's team of one point, extends that player's respawn timer and can cause discord among the team members. Betrayals can be avoided by taking care when using certain weapons.

Instructions

    • 1

Avoid shooting players on your team. Friendly player names will appear blue when you move your cross-hairs over them. Enemy player names will appear red.

    • 2

Be wary of friendly player locations when using explosive weapons, such as the rocket launcher or grenades. The damage caused by explosions has a wide area of effect.

    • 3

Throw plasma grenades with care. Plasma grenades stick to any player they come into contact with, and if a friendly player is hit by one it is a guaranteed betrayal.

    • 4

Don't melee friendly players, particularly from the back. One melee hit will drop a friendly player's shield, and a second hit can kill him. Hitting a player from behind will result in an instant kill.
