Secret Achievements for Splinter Cell Conviction

Tom Clancy's "Splinter Cell: Conviction" for Xbox 360 has 18 secret achievements that give players no instruction on how to achieve them. These achievements are secret because their details give away key plot points and story developments. Of the 18 secret achievements, 13 of them can be earned in the single-player story mode, whereas the other five must be earned in the cooperative campaign. All of these secret achievements can be earned on any difficulty setting.
  1. Story Missions

    • Each story mission rewards you with an achievement when you complete it. The story missions are the levels found within the "Scene Select" option on the main menu. When you complete all objectives of a level you will receive an achievement named after that level that is worth 20 Gamerscore points. For example, when you complete the Lincoln Memorial level you will earn the "Lincoln Memorial" achievement. There are 11 secret achievements tied to the story missions and a total of 220 Gamerscore points to be earned.

    Tom Reed

    • Two of the secret achievements are titled "Judge, Jury and Executioner" and "Man of Conviction." You get either one of these achievements depending on how you deal with Tom Reed at the conclusion of the game. If you press the button prompt to kill Tom Reed, you earn "Judge, Jury and Executioner," while the decision to spare his life earns you "Man of Conviction." Once you complete the game, select "Continue Story" from the main menu to reload to a point just before the decision over Tom Reed's fate. This lets you make the opposite choice and earn the other achievement. Each achievement is worth 10 Gamerscore points.

    Cooperative Campaign

    • Like the main story missions, the cooperative campaign also has a list of secret achievements that are linked to the completion of each mission. These levels are found under the "Coop Story" mode under the "Coop &Multiplayer" option on the main menu. These coop missions must be played with another player. If you have an Internet connection and an Xbox LIVE Gold subscription you can play the game over the Xbox LIVE multi-player service. If you have a second controller, you can play in split-screen mode with another person locally.

    Coop Face Off

    • At the end of the coop story mode, the two agents, Archer and Kestrel, who until this point have been allies, are both sent orders to kill the other. The players start at either side of a cargo bay on a plane and only have a pistol. If you kill your former coop partner you will be awarded the "Survivor" achievement, which is worth 10 Gamerscore points. Unfortunately it is not possible for both players to gain this achievement in a single play of the final mission.
