How to Mod an XBox 360 Modern Warfare 2 Private Lobby

In addition to the multiplayer matches you can play against random players in "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2" for the Microsoft Xbox 360, you can also make private matches to play on Xbox Live. Once you establish a match, you can modify the lobby by setting the map, game rules and more. After you invite other players to join, you are ready to start.

Instructions

  Select the "Multiplayer" option from the main menu. Choose "Xbox Live."

  Pick "Private Match" to open the lobby. Select the "Game Setup" option which opens up several modification choices.

  Choose your preferred map with the "Change Map" option. This will allow you to select from more than a dozen maps, from "Afghan" to "Wasteland."

  Choose the type of game to play with the "Change Game Mode" option. These modes include Team Deathmatch, in which two teams compete to rack up the most kills; Sabotage, in which you grab a bomb and try to plant it in enemy territory; and Capture the Flag, which requires you to grab the enemy's flag and bring it back to your base.

  Change the "Game Rules" to set a time and score limit and the number of lives and amount of health each player receives. You can also change team options such as the ability to have radar and whether friendly fire is active. General gameplay options you can adjust include the ability to have perks and killstreak rewards.

  Invite friends by clicking the "Invite" option. Go to "Start Game" to begin the match.
