How to Earn Experience in Halo

"Halo 3" is an Xbox 360 game that has a fully featured multiplayer setup. When you play multiplayer, you can earn experience, which lets you level up and earn new ranks, which are displayed beside your name whenever you play a game. This is separate from your skill number, which the game uses to match you up with similarly skilled players. You can only earn experience through ranked matches.

     Load "Halo 3" to the main menu.

     Select "Matchmaking," followed by "Ranked." Wait as you are matched you up with a free game.

     Play through the game until completion. Earn one experience point just for playing through the game. If you are in the top half of players, such as the winning team in Team Deathmatch, you will get another experience point.
