How to Get Tall Grass on Viva Pinata

"Viva Pinata," released in 2008 for the Xbox 360, is a life-simulator game in which you customize your garden to attract wild-roaming pinata animals. You will start with a small garden and basic tools that will guide you through the game. You begin the game with short grass but as you progress, you will eventually have the ability to plant tall grass and attract more pinatas. As you build up your garden, more pinatas will show up with the right combination of plants, grass, water and flowers.

Instructions

  Talk to Leafos at the beginning of the game, who will guide you through the first level, supplying you with tools and short grass. Plant the short grass seed packets across your entire garden. You will soon notice your first pinata creature, the whirlm.

  Pay Willy Builder to build a whirlms house when you have the ability to do so. This should be available after one or two whirlms enter your garden. The house is required in order to romance them and progress through the first levels.

  Romance the whirlms once the house is complete. Do this by pressing the "A" button on one whirlm, then the "A" button on a second whirlm, and finally the "A" button on their house. The whirlms must have hearts above their heads in order to romance successfully. You will then see the whirlms walk into the house and exit a few minutes later when a whirlm egg is dropped in front of the house.

  Continue romancing whirlms until you have seven to 10 of them. When sparrowmints enter your garden, feed one whirlm to each of them and have Willy Builder build a sparrowmint house so you may romance them.

  Continue advancing in the game by adding more to your garden, such as flowers and crops; the seeds of which you will receive by talking to Seedos. Romance as many pinatas as you can. When you reach level 3, Costalot's general store will open. Continue to check his store until the tall grass seed packets become available.
