How to Kick People Out of Halo 3

"Halo 3" can be enjoyed with friends over Xbox Live. You can organize team death matches and even start a party so all of your friends continue playing together as a unit. However, there will come times when one friend gets to be a little too much and you may wish to kick him or her out. There are two ways to do this. You can either wait for them to betray you during a game and are given the option to boot them, or kick them out in between games as the party leader.

Instructions

  1. Booting from Games

    • 1

Wait for a player in your party to betray you and kill you. This can happen either on purpose, such as them actually shooting at you, or accidentally, such as a rogue grenade. After they've done it a few times, a "Boot Player" screen should pop up.

    • 2

Press "X" to boot them from both the game and your party. (You can also choose "B" to forgive the player and let them stay.)

    • 3

Wait for the connection to reset. This will stop the game for a few seconds as the booted player is removed from the game.

    In Between Games

    • 4

Press the Xbox "Guide" button, which is the button in the center of your controller with the Xbox logo.

    • 5

      Scroll down and select "Party."

    • 6

Scroll down and select the player you wish to kick from your party.

    • 7

Select "Kick from Party." The player will be removed from your Xbox Live party. However, they can still request to rejoin.
