How to Get Past the Shield in Alone in the Dark

In Episode 8 of "Alone in the Dark" for Xbox 360, an invisible protective shield prevents you from passing by an evil tree. Every time you attempt to pass by the tree, a wicked force throws your character onto his back. You need to get past the tree to move forward with the game. To eliminate the shield and move past the tree, you will have to destroy the Roots of Evil that haunt the area. To see the shield and eliminate the roots, you need to obtain at least 75 Spectral Vision Points.

• Molotov cocktail

     Make sure that you have obtained at least 75 Spectral Vision points before attempting to pass the tree. If you have not obtained 75 points, track down more evil roots and then head to the tree.

     Approach the tree with your Spectral Vision activated.

   • 3

     Throw a Molotov cocktail at the root you see behind the tree. This will cause the tree to burn.

   • 4

     Walk past the burning tree; the shield is gone.
