How to Make Teleporters Affect Only One Team in Halo: Reach

"Halo: Reach" is a first-person shooter video game for the Xbox 360 that has an extremely competitive multiplayer mode included with it. In addition, the game includes a mode called "Forge" that allows you to create and customize your own levels in the game. These matches can then be shared and played online in non-ranked matches. One of the most useful items a map creator can place is the teleporter, but many map creators want to make it exclusive to a certain team. While you can't prohibit people from using the teleporter, you can prevent another team from being able to reach the teleporter.

     Enter the "Forge" mode in the "Halo Reach" and load the map you want to edit.

     Raise the terrain of the starting zone for one of the teams, although it is preferred for both to prevent an unfair advantage. This can be done by using the terrain tools and elevating the ground. After you make the starting zone a certain height, players will not be able to walk up to its steep incline.

     Place a teleporter on top of the spawning zone. This will make it exclusive to the team that spawns on the area, while also giving them the option to spawn as normal.
