How to Set Up Boundaries in Forge World

Forge World is a world-building game mode found in "Halo: Reach." Similar to the Forge mode in previous "Halo" titles, Forge World allows you to construct and edit new multi-player maps for online and local play. After completing a map, you can share it with the worldwide Bungie community. Forge World is massive and some of its sub-levels are quite large, so creating a smaller map for more fast-paced play will require that you set up boundaries to keep players contained.

Instructions

    • 1

Enter Forge World and allow it to load. Once loaded, open the main Forge menu by pressing X.

    • 2

Select "Spawns" and hit the "A" button.

    • 3

Highlight "Kill Area Boundaries" and press "A."

    • 4

Choose between "Kill Boundary" or "Soft Kill Boundary." A soft kill boundary allows the player to run back into the game map before dying, while a regular kill boundary instantly kills the player. Instant-kill boundaries work best as death floors when players fall off the map.

    • 5

Press "A" to place the boundary. You can adjust the size of your kill boundary to best suit your map, and you can place several boundaries in one map if you feel it necessary.
