How to Get to Cell Saga on Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit

Because "Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit" is a game that is based on the linear story of the animated Dragon Ball Z series, each individual story arc is played in the sequence it appears in the series, so the Cell Saga is one of the last story arcs to play. Unfortunately, that means that in order to get to the Cell Saga, you'll have to fight your way through every signature battle that happened in the series before that point in the story.

Instructions

    • 1

Begin the Saiyan Saga. In order to progress, you will have to defeat and unlock the following fighters. You'll have to defeat Raditz in Chapter 1, Saibamen in Chapter 3, Nappa in Chapter 5, Kaioken Goku in Chapter 7, and Vegeta in Chapter 8. Each character you defeat will become playable in multiplayer mode.

After the Saiyan Saga, you must begin the Frieza Saga. This is a problem for some players, as it's the longest story arc in the series before you get to the Cell Saga. You have to play out 16 total battles, unlocking Recoome (Chapter 1), Captain Ginyu (Chapter 4), the Piccolo Sync (Chapter 11), Super Saiyan Goku (Chapter 16), and each of Frieza's 5 forms (Chapters 8, 9,12,14 and 16). As with the previous story arc, all unlocked characters will be playable.

Next is the Bardock Saga. This is the last story arc before finally you reach the Cell Saga, and consists of 4 total battles, all involving Bardock.

Complete the Bardock Saga and watch the cutscene. In true Dragon Ball style, this game really makes you wait before it gets to the good part. However, when you complete this final step, the Cell Saga will finally be available to you. This is what many players consider to be the "meat" of the game because most of the best unlockable fighters and fan favorites are included in this story arc. However, as you can see, it takes quite a bit of work to get up to this point.
