How to Make a Private Lobby in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

Head online to play against peers in various team-based scenarios in the first-person shooting game "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2" for the Microsoft Xbox 360. Play against the first team you can find or choose to set up a private match so you will battle against only your friends. Setting up a private lobby is a quick process, so you can get into the action in a matter of seconds.

  Select the multiplayer option from the main menu and then choose "Xbox Live."

  Select "Private Match" on the following screen.

  Invite friends by selecting the same-named option on the private match menu. This will show all of your friends who are currently on Xbox Live. Scroll through the names and choose "Invite to Game" to send the invitation.

  Configure the game by going into "Game Setup." This will allow you to choose the map, the game mode and set the game rules.

  Pick the "Start Game" option when you are ready to play.
