How to Put Your Own Pictures on Your Own XBox 360 Profile

You must create a user profile before you can play video games on your Xbox 360 console. With your profile you can manage your saved games, view your achievements, download Xbox LIVE content and more. Each Xbox profile is customizable, from the gamer tag to the gamer picture. Although the Xbox 360 console comes with dozens of pre-loaded pictures, you can put your own picture on your profile with the Xbox LIVE Vision Camera device.

  Attach the USB cable on your Xbox LIVE Vision camera to the USB port on your Xbox 360 console.

  Power on the Xbox 360 console and look for the flashing green light on the Xbox LIVE Vision camera to ensure it is receiving power from the console.

  Log into the profile on your Xbox 360 where you want to put your picture.

  Press the "Guide" button on your Xbox 360 controller to pull up the "Guide" menu. Scroll over to the "Settings" page and choose the "Profile" option from the slide-out menu.

  Click on "Edit Profile," select "Game Picture" and then select "Take Personal Picture." Wait a couple of seconds for the Xbox 360 console to establish a live camera feed with your Xbox LIVE Vision camera.

  Press the "A" button on your Xbox controller to take the gamer picture. Make sure your face or the subject of your picture is fully in the frame of the viewfinder before you press "A." Once you are satisfied with your picture, press "A" again to apply the image to your Xbox 360 profile.
