How to Create a Viva Pinata

There is no sweeter sight in the wide world of video games that witnessing two pinata animals perform a "romance dance" to make a new baby Pinata. There are other ways to obtain pinatas in "Viva Pinata," but the romancing process rewards the player with the largest amount of experience and rewards. Some pinatas, such as the "Pigxie," cannot be earned without romancing two pinatas. Patience and a sense of experimentation are key to producing more papery pets for your garden in "Viva Pinata."

Instructions

  Obtain two individuals of the same pinata species and place them into your garden. This can be done by luring them from the wild to become residents, buying a second from Gretchen Fetchem's pinata hunting services or receiving them from a friend through Xbox Live. Pinatas become available from Gretchen's shop after you have first obtained at least one of its kind.

  Highlight one of the two pinatas and press "Y" to bring up its stat menu. Scroll to its romance requirements to learn how to make the pinata fall in love.

  Fulfill the romance requirements for both pinata animals. For example, to get two "Zumbug" pinatas to become interested in romancing you need to cover 300 square pinometers of the garden with long grass; feed each animal three orchid flowers and a jar of jam; and build a Zumbug house on the property.

  Select one pinata and then the other as soon as pink hearts appear over their heads. They will then enter their home, but you must complete a romancing mini-game before they will dance.

  Guide the pinata you control through the maze of bomblike "Loathers" to its partner on the other side of the maze. Be careful not to hit too many Loathers, or else you will have to try again after a few minutes have passed. Uniting the two pinatas rewards the player with a romance dance cut scene, followed by a pinata egg delivered to the home by "Storkos."
