How to Mod Maps

"Halo 3" is a first-person shooter set in a science-fiction setting. Players take on the role of the Master Chief as he fights a losing battle against invading aliens. The base game contains numerous maps on which you can play multi-player games, or you can modify them in the Forge for offline multi-player gaming. The Forge allows you to remove or add objects to pre-existing maps, letting you completely overhaul how you approach the map.

     Insert the "Halo 3" disc into your Xbox 360 disc tray.

     Go to "My Xbox" and press "A" after the console recognizes the disc. Wait for the game to load.

     Press "Start" to open the main menu.

     Select "Forge," followed by the map you want to modify.

     Use the onscreen options to modify the map. For example, press "A" to select an existing object. You can move the object elsewhere or remove it altogether. Alternatively, press "X" to create a new object.
