How to Put Your Gamertag on the Teacher Games

The Xbox 360 console allows users to create a unique profile featuring an avatar and slogan. Each player provides a name for his profile, also known as a "gamertag." The gamertag serves as your online identity when you play multi-player games online. Other players use your gamertag to add you as a "friend." That allows them to invite you to play online or to send you private messages. Add your gamertag to your profile on your favorite games or websites to increase your list of "friends."

  Turn on your Xbox 360.

  Press and hold the Xbox button of your controller. This button displays a green "X" and rests in the center of the controller.

  Scroll to the "Sign In" window by pressing the right button of the D-pad. Press "A" when you reach the tab that reads "Sign In." Scroll to the tab that displays your gamertag and press the "A" button.

  Write down your gamertag using the exact letters, numbers and characters that make up the tag.

  Add your gamertag to an Xbox 360 teacher game. Scroll to "Game Library" and press "A." Highlight and select the desired game and visit the "Edit Profile" screen. Add the text of your gamertag using the on-screen keyboard. Press "A." If the game requires a disc, place the disc in the Xbox 360 before you visit the "Game Library" screen.

  Put your gamertag on the forums for the teacher game. Visit the official forum and click on the "Sign In" button. Click on the "Profile" or "My Profile" button. Click "Edit Profile." Place your cursor in the box that displays your "Signature." Type in the text "gamertag" and type your gamertag after it.
