How to Get Past the Red Fences in Banjo Kazooie

"Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts" lets you construct vehicles to use from the different parts that you earn through completing challenges against the evil Gruntilda. Completing a certain challenge will give you a device that will let you blast through locked red laser gates. The challenge asks you to prevent Gruntilda from destroying a series of objects within a short time frame.

Instructions

- 1
  Play through the game until you reach the fifth act of the Jiggoseum level. Go to the center of this level and talk to Gruntilda. She's going to try to destroy nine billiard balls and you need to prevent her from destroying all but two of them to pass this section.

  Drive towards the first billiard ball. She will only release one ball per round and the ball is marked clearly by a large "?" above it. Your goal is to keep the ball away from Gruntilda until the timer runs out. Use whichever method works best for you to keep the ball safe. You could push the ball with your vehicle, pick up the ball and throw it around the level, use the "Freezeezy" ability to freeze Gruntilda temporarily or attack Gruntilda to keep her distracted until the timer runs out. The next round will begin when the timer runs out.

  Protect the second ball from Gruntilda. Repeat this process until at least seven of the nine balls have been saved and you'll earn the laser as a reward. You also have the option to restart this challenge at any time. Exit this area and go to any one of the locked red laser gates.

  Press "Up" on the directional pad to change the button assignment for your vehicle parts. Set the laser to any button. Press that button while standing in front of a locked red laser gate to blast it open.
