How to Mod a Wired 360 Controller

A modified Xbox 360 controller could easily turn the tides of the battle in a game such as "Call of Duty." The main reason you would modify a controller is to have rapid-fire capability, which allows you to fire the semi-automatic weapons quickly by clicking the trigger once. With the right tools and knowledge, this task is easy.

  Purchase a mod chip for your controller, these can be found at various sites such as "Gamermodz," "Gamingmodz," or "Ebay."

  Remove the battery of your controller to reveal a screw. Unscrew all seven on the back of your controller.

  Pop the shell of the controller off the circuit board and find a place for your mod switch. The place you put your switch depends on what mod you bought. Once it has been instaled, add glue and let it dry for two hours.

  Test the switch to make sure it's in place, then put the controller back together.

  Load up a game and test out the mod. Depending on what mod you purchased, activate the rapid burst speed. This is usually done by holding the center button of your controller, and clicking the right and left trigger.
