How to Forge the Maps on Halo: ODST

While "Halo 3 ODST" is commonly known as a departure from the "Halo" series with new characters, scenarios and game modes, the Forge mode from "Halo 3" returns. In fact, all of the multiplayer modes from "Halo 3" return in "ODST" with the addition of the Firefight mode. In Forge, you have the ability to add and remove all manner of objects from the battlefield to create a distinctive experience for friends to enjoy.

Instructions

      Place the second "Halo 3 ODST" disc into the Xbox 360 console. The disc is labeled "Multiplayer" and contains all of the released "Halo 3" multiplayer content, including game types, maps and Forge mode.

      Choose the "Forge" option from the main menu.

      Pick a map from the list to edit in Forge mode and select "Start Game."

      Press "Up" on the control pad to switch between your Spartan and the Forge Editor. As the Forge Editor, you can fly to any point in the map to drop items, weapons and vehicles to make customized layouts for players to use.

      Browse the menus as the Forge Editor to find the tools that you wish to add to the map. These items range from stationary metal boxes to giant soccer balls and every usable weapon in "Halo 3 ODST."

      Press the "Start" button to display the pause menu. Select "Save as New Map" to keep a record of your custom item placement for future "Halo" matches. Choosing the "End Game" option brings all players to the main menu of "Halo 3 ODST."
