How to Set Up a Server for COD 4

"Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare" (also referred to as COD 4) is a first-person shooter video game released in 2007 that was developed by Infinity Ward Studios and published by Activision Publishing. In addition to a single-player mode, "Call of Duty 4" also has a multiplayer mode in which players can fight with and against other players. Setting up your own multiplayer server in "Call of Duty 4" isn't difficult.

  Select "Multiplayer" from the "Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare" main menu.

  Choose the "Live" or "Online" option from the Multiplayer menu, and select "Private Match."

  Select "Game Setup" from the Private Match Lobby screen, and then change the map, mode and rules for the server, if desired.

  Click on the "Invite Friends" option at the bottom of the Private Match Lobby screen to invite your friends to join your server. Click "Start Match" to begin playing on your "Call of Duty 4" server.
