How Do I Get Left 4 Dead 2 to Do Co-op Offline?

"Left 4 Dead 2" is a first-person shooter for the Xbox 360 in which you must survive against waves of zombies using any weapons you happen to find lying around. Gameplay modes include single-player mode and split-screen mode, which lets you play with a friend. You can play co-op offline, but you are limited to only two players compared with four players you would have online. This is so the screen has to be split only down the middle. Dividing the screen into four parts would make certain actions indiscernible on smaller TVs.
