How to Fight in Assassin's Creed for XBox

In "Assassin's Creed" for the Xbox 360, players take on the role of Altaïr, an assassin living in the year 1191. Altaïr employs stealth weaponry to sneak attack victims without alerting those around him. However, if Altaïr is caught by enemies, he will find himself in a situation where stealth is no longer an option and the only way out is to fight. Fortunately, Altaïr is a skilled warrior who has a number of fighting techniques and weapons at his disposal.

Instructions

- 1
  Press the directional pad to select a weapon. Press "Up" to select your hidden blade, "Down" to select your fists, "Right" to select your sword and "Left" to select your short sword or throwing knives. Press "Start" to equip which weapon you want for each short key slot from the weapon's menu.

  Press the "X" button to attack using your equipped weapon. Press the "X" button repeatedly to perform attack combos. Hold the "X" button down to charge strong attacks.

  Press the "B" button to grapple enemies. Use this to push enemies aside when fighting a large group so that you have to fight only a few of them at a time.

  Press the "A" button along with the directional pad to sidestep an attack and disorientate a foe. Press the "X" button when a foe is disorientated for a quick kill.

  Press "LT" to lock onto a target, and press the "X" button to throw a knife when you have throwing knives equipped as your weapon.

  Attack enemies when they are vulnerable while dodging enemy attacks to eventually wear down your foes and defeat them in combat.
