Things You'll Need
Instructions
Unplug the Xbox 360 controller from the game console. Put the controller face down on a table with the text on the back facing you right-side up.
Remove the battery compartment lid from the back with your fingers. If the controller has a screw in the lid, remove the screw first using a Phillips jeweler's screwdriver. Remove the battery from inside the battery compartment and place it aside.
Twirl each of the exposed ends of the LED diode light's two wires between your fingers to form rods.
Insert the end of the LED wire that has the "+" labeled text on it into the hole in the left side inside the battery compartment at the bottom edge. Insert the end of the other wire into the hole in the right side inside the battery compartment.
Place the battery back in the battery compartment. Put the lid back on and reattach the screw, if there is one. Turn the controller over. Place the LED against the top right edge of the controller.
Affix the LED to the controller's edge with a piece of clear cellophane tape. Apply strips of cellophane tape against the wiring going from the LED diode into the battery compartment to secure it to the controller.
Plug the controller cord back into the Xbox 360. Turn the console on to enjoy using your controller that now has an illuminated LED on it.
