How to Switch From HDMI to Composite on Xbox 360

The Xbox 360 is a high definition gaming console with multimedia support, including streaming video and audio. Though the Xbox 360 is designed for high definition TVs, it can still be connected with standard definition TVs via the Xbox 360 Composite AV Cable. When using the Xbox 360 Composite AV Cable, the features of the console remain the same, though the graphical and video quality is lowered to accommodate standard definition TVs.

  Turn off the Xbox 360. Disconnect the HDMI cable from the "HDMI" port on the back of the Xbox 360.

  Insert the AV Connector into the "AV" port on the back of the Xbox 360. Insert the yellow, white and red AV connectors on the opposite side of the AV Connector into the "yellow," "white" and "red" AV ports on the TV.

  Put the TV on its AV video display mode. Some TVs may also refer to it as Input, Video or something similar. Turn the Xbox 360 on. The Xbox 360 logo will appear on screen.
