How Do You Level Up on Viva Pinata for the Xbox 360?

When you gain experience in "Viva Pinata," the petals around the flower in the top-right corner of the screen change color. Make a complete circuit and you'll gain a gardening level, which makes new items available in shops, allows for garden expansions and lets new pinatas appear in your garden. You receive experience for every new flower you plant in your garden and every new species of pinata you interact with. The in-game pinata encyclopedia tells you what you need to do to get pinatas to visit and remain in your garden.

Instructions

  Move the cursor over a pinata that has appeared outside your garden. Press the "Y" button to view its information. Follow the visit requirements listed to earn experience for getting the pinata to visit your garden.

  Highlight a visiting pinata and press the "Y" button to view its resident requirements. Fulfill all of the requirements to make this pinata a new resident in your garden and gain XP.

  Attract two pinatas of the same species to your garden. Use the information screen to view their romance requirements. Build a romance house for that species and fulfill its romance requirements, then breed the two pinatas to earn experience for romancing.

  Romance the same species until you have seven pinatas of that type in your garden, earning you XP for achieving master romancer for that species.

  Follow Seedos, who wanders around in your garden, to obtain new flower, bush and tree seeds. Use your shovel to dig a hole, then pick up a new seed and plant it in the hole. Use your watering can to water the plant. Grow the plant to maturity to gain experience.

  Buy fertilizer from Costalot's Store to boost each new plant's growth. Use fertilizer of the same color as the plant's flowers. Sprinkle fertilizer on a newly planted seed three times to achieve maximum growth and experience.
