How Do I Tinker in Viva Pinata?

"Viva Pinata" features a wide variety of items that must be tinkered to transform them for various purposes. For example, a toadstool can be tinkered into a mushroom, with the mushroom having the ability to tame three different types of pinata. Tinkering can only be done by Bart at his shop, and Bart isn't available right away. Once you advance to a high enough level you'll be able to use his tinkering service.

  Play through the game until you reach level nine. This will open up Bart's Exchange in town. Talk to Bart and select what type of ticket you'd like to use to tinker items. A bronze ticket is cheapest and offers only a 25 percent success rate, a silver ticket is more expensive and offers a 50 percent success rate. A gold ticket is the most expensive, but has a 100 percent success rate.

  Select the items that you would like Bart to tinker by pressing "A." You also have the option to select several items at once.

  Press "Y" to finish your selection and press "A" to confirm. Bart will then attempt to tinker the items, with his success rate being based on the type of ticket you purchased.
