How to Do Each Assassination in Reach

In "Halo: Reach," the first-person shooter developed by Bungie for the Xbox 360, players are able to perform special assassination kills on opposing players. A successful assassination rewards a player with an instant kill against his opponent, delivered in a visceral animation. There are many assassination animations that can be seen in "Halo: Reach," though in most situations, the animation performed is random. You can influence the animation performed in several ways.

Instructions

- 1
  Press and hold "RB" on the game controller when positioned behind an enemy while in melee range. This will perform a random assassination on that enemy.

  Press and hold "RB" from behind and within melee range of an opponent while both of you are mid-air. This will perform an aerial assassination.
- 3
  Hold "RB" when landing on an opponent who is on the ground to perform a take-down assassination. You must be behind and within melee range of your enemy when pressing "RB."
- 4
  Press and hold "RB" when positioned in melee range behind an enemy while you have an energy sword equipped. This will perform assassination moves unique to the energy sword. Performing an assassination with the energy sword does not use up any of the sword's energy.

  Perform assassinations as both Spartans and Elites, as the assassination animations differ depending on who is performing them.
