How to Put the Character Files for Mass Effect on an Xbox 360

One of the unique features of "Mass Effect 2" is the way it imports character data from the original "Mass Effect." Every decision you make in the first game, whether it be pursuing a romantic relationship or choosing to let certain members of your party perish, will come back to haunt you in one way or another as you travel through the story in the second game. In order to import your character, you will first need to save your original file to your Xbox 360 hard drive.

     Turn on your Xbox 360 console and let it load to the Xbox dashboard.

     Select the "System" menu and open the "Memory" section.

     Select the memory card that currently holds your "Mass Effect" save data.

     Highlight the save data and select "Copy."

   • 5

     Select the Xbox 360 hard drive to copy the data directly to the unit's HDD. Once this transfer completes, you will be able to import the information into "Mass Effect 2."
