How to Get Through Tier One on Medal of Honor

Electronic Art's "Medal of Honor" gives players the chance to experience life as a U.S. Special Forces operative stationed in Afghanistan. Playing as Navy Seals Rabbit, Deuce and Hawk, players must fight their way through 10 missions against Taliban forces. In the game's opening mission, players assume the role of Rabbit as the Seal and his squad mates attempt to destroy an enemy outpost. Completing the opening mission requires players to stay covered to avoid enemy gunfire, while providing covering fire as your squad mates advance through the level.

Instructions

  Complete the tutorial that begins the level by following the onscreen commands. Learning the basic commands will inform you of how to move, fire your weapon and take cover. Head out the door and down the alley when finished.

  Kill the the two enemy combatants at the end of the ally by firing while taking cover behind the nearby dumpster and then proceed down the ally. Turning the corner you will find four more combatants, three on the street and one in the nearby building. Take cover, and by carefully aiming you can score four quick headshots to earn the "Right in the Grape" achievement.

  Advance to the metal door, crouch down and sprint through after your teammate, Voodoo, throws a grenade through the doorway. Jump over any obstacles in the hallway, taking the time to shoot down any combatants that cross your path. Exit out the door on the right Voodoo opens for you and walk down the alley.

  Join Preacher and Mother in the courtyard, and engage the four enemies hiding in the rubble in a firefight. Killing the enemies will trigger three more combatants to appear on a balcony at the end of the courtyard. Dispatch with them, and then follow Voodoo to the door.

  Kick in the door, kill all combatants inside and then stab the fuse box to kill the lights in the building. Switch to night vision, and follow Voodoo throughout the building, killing any combatants you come across. Unable to see in the dark, you can easily dispatch of the enemy combatants with your knife in order to safe ammunition.

  Follow Mother outside, and move across the bridge while taking cover to avoid incoming machine gun fire. Enter the building at the end of the bridge, and follow your squad mates as you proceed to make your way to the fort. Wait for the incoming missile to blow open the entrance, and then sprint into the fort.

  Take cover from the incoming machine gun fire, and look for the lit door on the left side of the screen. Go through the door and follow Mother through the tunnel until you reach a barn. Kill the six combatants inside, and proceed to the door at the far end of the room.

  Kick in the door to start a slow motion effect. Focus your attention on the enemy combatant who attempts to grab the prisoner. Shoot him in the head, while your teammates deal with everyone else, and you will receive the "Smooth Operator" and "First Incision" achievements, ending the level.
