How to Defeat Backing Up Brad in Dead Rising

In "Dead Rising" for the Xbox 360, players control a character trapped in a mall, trying to survive a zombie attack. As the game unfolds, new characters are introduced through cut scenes or missions. One of those characters is Brad Garrison, a homeland security agent that is first encountered in the second part of the first case, "Backup for Brad." Completing the mission is difficult if players simply follow the mission arrow in game, but with a little ingenuity, the task becomes relatively simple.

Instructions

- 1
  Exit through the security door at the end of the hallway to start the case.

  Turn right and run down the hall, past Cam's Cameras. Go up the stairs on the right, in front of Kid's Choice. Stop on the first platform.

  Turn right and jump from the landing onto the blue store overhang. Follow it until you reach a second overhang. Jump across the gap and continue to the third overhang. Pick up the submachine gun.

  Jump back down to the ground level. Follow the mission arrow to the glass doors that lead to Leisure Park.

  Follow the mission arrow through Leisure Park until you're nearly at the food court. Go to the right of the crowd of zombies in front of the door and grab the lawnmower. Mow down the zombie throng with the lawnmower, then go through the door to the food court.
- 6
  Attack Carlito with the submachine gun. Move around the food court, finding cover wherever you can. Do not stay in one place too long, or Carlito will get a bead on you. When your health gets low, run to one of the restaurants and grab some food or drink to replenish it.
