How to Set Up a Netgear WGR614 V7 With the Xbox 360

The Netgear WGR614 router is capable of broadcasting a wireless Internet network throughout your entire home. Many different types of electronic devices are compatible with this network and can use it to get online, including Microsoft's Xbox 360 gaming console. With your Xbox 360 online, you can use the Xbox LIVE online service to play games with friends and enemies all over the world from the comfort of your couch.

  Turn on your Xbox 360. Open the console's "My Xbox" main menu.

  Select the name of the network that your Netgear WGR614 V7 wireless router is broadcasting. If you set up the network, this will be the name you manually assigned to it.

  Use the Xbox controller to type in the password for your Netgear WGR614 V7's wireless network. This will be the password you manually assigned to the network. Your Xbox 360 will now be online.
