How to Fix the Corrupted Content Problem for Borderlands DLC on Xbox 360

"Borderlands" is a first-person, shooter, role-playing game developed by Gearbox Software. Since the original launch of "Borderlands," Gearbox Software has released three downloadable content (DLC) packs which expand the game playable campaign. A player must download the DLC packs to play them. Rarely, these content packs will become corrupted during the download process, rendering the game content unplayable. If you are afflicted with a corrupted content error when attempting to play the "Borderlands" DLC, you can resolve the issue by following several basic steps.

Instructions

    • 1

Power on the Xbox and sign into the same Xbox Live gamertag used to purchase the DLC content.

    • 2

Navigate to the "System Settings" option of the "My Xbox" menu in the Xbox dashboard, then press "A."

    • 3

Choose "Memory" from the listed options, then press "A."

    • 4

Choose the storage device which contains the DLC content, then press "A."

    • 5

Highlight "Games" from the list of content, then press "A."

    • 6

Select "Borderlands" from the list of installed game content, then press "A."

    • 7

Highlight the corrupted "Borderlands" DLC content, press "A," then choose "Delete" from the listed options.

    • 8

Confirm that you want to delete the DLC content.

    • 9

Re-download the DLC content from the Xbox Live marketplace. You will not have to pay for the DLC content again as any purchases made on a gamertag is saved. Once downloaded, the DLC content will work as intended.
