Mysterious Ring Effects in Fable 2

"Fable 2: Pub Games" is an Xbox Live Arcade game developed by Carbonated Games and Lionhead Studios. "Pub Games" has shared functionality with "Fable 2," including the ability to transfer money and items to the original title. The Mysterious Ring is an item which can be won in "Pub Games" and subsequently used in "Fable 2." The ring was used as a major promotional item for "Pub Games," but the effects are actually quite minimal.

- "Pub Games" is an Xbox Live Arcade title that was included for free in both editions of "Fable 2." It is also available for download from the Xbox Marketplace for 800 points. "Pub Games" features three-different casino-style games. In addition to winning gold for your "Fable 2" character, you also have the opportunity to win 15 unique prizes. The gold and prizes won in "Pub Games" is automatically transferred to your "Fable 2" character.
The Games
- In "Pub Games," you can play "Fortune's Tower," "Keystone" and "Spinnerbox." "Fortune's Tower" is a relatively complex card game. "Keystone" is a modified version of "Roulette," utilizing two dice instead of a spinning wheel. "Spinnerbox" is a slot machine game in which you can bet gold on three to six different slots. Each game has five tournaments of increasing difficulty. Each tournament consists of a specific combination to hit. Spin the Spinnerbox until you hit the specific combination to advance in the tournament. For each tournament won, you will receive a special prize. You must win the fifth Spinnerbox tournament to receive the Mysterious Ring.
The Mysterious Ring
- As "Spinnerbox" is a slot machine and therefore a chance game, it may require a significant amount of time and gold to win. The outcome of each turn is completely random. To reach the fifth tournament, win the first four tournaments beforehand.

- Prior to the release of "Pub Games," the Mysterious Ring was touted as being a powerful ring with a terrible curse, leading to much speculation. In actuality, the ring simply acts as a five-star wedding ring. As a five-star ring, almost any character will accept your marriage proposal. The Mysterious Ring is useful if you wish to marry Lady Grey, because she will only accept five-star rings. Once the character of your choice accepts your marriage proposal, you will also receive a large bonus to your Purity Level.
