Painting Similarities
Several of the "Assassin's Creed 2" puzzles feature a series of images with a word clue to help determine which images don't belong. For example, in the game's first glyph puzzle, "In the Beginning," players are shown ten paintings, along with the clue, "Five of these mythic scenes share a CORE similarity." The "core" in this case refers to the fact that five of these paintings feature an apple. The capitalized word in these challenges always provides the key to solving them. On the two "Instruments of Power" puzzles, the word "CUT" should lead you to select the paintings with swords, while the word "LEAN" suggests choosing the paintings in which there is a staff.
Highlighting Images
Several puzzles require players to highlight a specific portion of an image to find hidden objects. On the puzzle "Apollo," highlight the satellite peaking out from behind the moon, line up the silver sections on the satellite to form a solid beam, then highlight the hidden apple underneath the right boot of the astronaut. Some of these puzzles feature word clues, like the "Infinite Knowledge" puzzle, which reads "Its open MOUTH delivers the kiss of death." This is a prompt to highlight the mouth of the bazooka.
Auditory Puzzles
Another series of glyph puzzles requires you to listen while you search an image to determine which portion, if highlighted, will produce the most beeping sounds. On the series of "Martyrs" puzzles, highlight the middle of Czar Nicholas II's staff. For the painting of Joan of Arc, highlight the very center of her sword. You will then be shown a large map. Here, highlight the image of fire and drag it to the painting of Joan of Arc, then highlight the picture of Rasputin and drag it to the Nicholas II painting.
Code Wheels
Several of the glyph puzzles in "Assassin's Creed 2" must be solved with the use of a code wheel. For "Hat Trick," first highlight the heart of both Gandhi and Houdini. Then alight the "1" on the inner code wheel with the "6" on the outer wheel. Next, enter the password "312." On the puzzle "I am Become Death, Destroyer of Worlds," first match the solid triangle on the outer wheel with the "9" on the inner wheel. Next match the "5" on the dial with the circle and two squares, the "2" with the single circle, and the "9" with the single triangle. To finish puzzle, press the red button on the next image, then highlight the numbers in the lower left corner.
