Glyphs and Cheats in Assassin's Creed 2

"Assassin's Creed 2" is an action game for the Xbox 360 in which players assume the role of an assassin in the Italian Renaissance. The main objective of the game is to kill targets and uncover a secret conspiracy. However, the bulk of the game lies in different kinds of secrets -- a series of mysterious glyphs, feathers and other hidden treasures dispersed throughout the game world. For a collector, or someone looking to turn over every rock in their Renaissance adventure, these glyphs and cheats are must-finds.
  1. The Glyphs

    • Glyphs are 20 hidden symbols located on various landmarks around Florence and Venice (where the game takes place.) The glyphs were left there by the elusive Subject 16 and may be the key to unraveling the area's darkest secrets. Various guides, such as gamesradar.com, are available to help players track down the exact locations of the glyphs for themselves. Some of the glyphs are extremely difficult to locate and get to because of their remote locations. Others are on popular landmarks, but require a unique perspective to notice.

    Truth Puzzles

    • Once the glyphs are found, players are tasked with completing a series of truth puzzles to unlock the glyph's messages. The answers to the truth puzzles can be via gamesradar.com. They require players to uncover codes from hints on a blueprint, analyze photographs for clues and manipulate ring puzzles. Once the puzzles are complete, the glyphs can be spliced together to produce a short video which reveals Subject 16's identity.

    Feathers

    • Feathers are located throughout the main areas of Florence and Venice. The feathers are located mostly on rooftops (where they are most likely to land), but can also be found in alleyways or at street level. The key to finding the feathers is to sweep across the game world from corner to corner using high points, like towers, to survey the ground below. Once the majority of the feathers have been found, the game will indicate the general areas where any remaining feathers are located. Once players have collected all the feathers, they are given an Auditore Cape as a reward.

Da Vinci and the Villa Workshops

    • There are five workshops located in the Villa region that can be renovated by the player to increase the special items and discounts available to the player throughout the game. These workshops are the Ant Merchant, Bank, Blacksmith, Doctor and Tailor. In addition, there are two separate workshops, one in Florence and one in Venice, in which players can find and speak to Leonardo da Vinci. As the game progresses Leonardo moves to the Villa, where players can still track him down and earn valuable advice and technology.
