How to Trigger a Mad Mel Fight

In the award-winning video game Borderlands, the player will come up against a whole rogue's gallery of colorful rascals, ne'er-do-wells and just plain villains, few so heinous or deadly as Mad Mel.



A dangerously insane bandit who controls a critical road from behind the wheel of his custom "Monster" vehicle, Mad Mel's boss fight can be one of the most challenging in the entire game. Unfortunately, even getting the fight started can prove trying all on its own.

     Drive your vehicle (if you have one) as close to the lip of the arena as you can without entering it. Bandits will begin pouring from all corners into the arena.

     Stay below the lip of the arena, popping up just long enough to take potshots at the bandits down below. Avoid the incoming missiles.

     Defeat all the bandits and bandit vehicles inside the arena to trigger Mad Mel's entrance.
