How Do You Jump in the Touchdown on Backbreaker?

"Backbreaker" is an NFL-style football game released for the Xbox 360 and PS3 in 2010. It is especially notable for its use of the Euphoria NaturalMotion animation system, which uses physics to add weight and accurately model collisions between various entities in the environment. This also has an added effect of very natural looking, on-the-fly animation. One of the special moves players can execute on offense is a goal line dive, which attempts to hurdle over the defensive line to score a touchdown.

Instructions

    • 1

Move the ball up to as close to the end-zone as possible. Diving for the goal is only possible between 2 yards and inches from the goal line.

    • 2

Snap the ball and hold the Right Analog Stick up towards the endzone. This will initiate the dive. Don't hold down the Right Trigger for "Aggressive Mode" as this will attempt to barge through defenders. Don't press the Left Analog Stick as this might interrupt the dive. There is another method with alternate controls as well.

    • 3

Snap the ball and hold down the "X" button on Xbox 360 or the "Square" button on the PS3, again without using "Aggressive Mode" or touching the Left Analog Stick.
