How to System Link Team Deathmatch on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II

"System link" is a feature on Xbox 360 video game consoles that allows you to connect two consoles with a cable and play games using multiple television sets in the same room or home. This feature is available for a wide variety of games, including the "Team Deathmatch" mode of the game "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2."

Things You'll Need

  • 1 Ethernet cable
  • 2 Xbox 360 consoles
  • 2 copies of "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2"

Instructions

    • 1

      Connect each Xbox 360 to a separate television set using the included audio/video cables.

      Connect the Xbox 360 consoles to each other with an Ethernet cable. The Ethernet cable plugs into the wired network connection input on the back of each console.

      Turn on each Xbox 360 and both television sets. The "System Link" screen will appear on both television sets. Press the black button on each Xbox 360 controller to link the two consoles together.

      Insert one copy of "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2" into each of the Xbox 360 consoles. Allow the game's main menu to load on each console.

      Select "Multiplayer" from the main menu of each game. Select "Local" and "System Link." Select "Team Deathmatch" from the game type window. The consoles are now configured for system link play in "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2."
