Darksiders Battle Hardened Requirements

"Darksiders" is an action adventure game released in 2010 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and the PC. In "Darksiders," players take on the role of War, one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, as he battles the forces of Heaven and Hell to restore order to an earth now devoid of human life. During game play, it is possible to obtain an Achievement or Trophy (depending on your platform) called Battle Hardened. While this does not affect gameplay, many players find achievement hunting a way to add replay value to a game.

Platform
- Make sure to play "Darksiders" on a PlayStation 3 or an Xbox 360. The PC version of the game does not have the Battle Hardened goal. On the PlayStation, Battle Hardened will be call a trophy and considered a silver, while on the Nintendo 360 it will be called an Achievement and will be worth 20 "Gamer Points." It should be noted that trophies of any type or Gamer Points are not redeemable for anything and are only good for bragging rights.
Fully Upgrade Weaponry
- Upgrades to your weaponry are gained by purchasing them in the store under the pause menu. The currency War uses to acquire the upgrades are the souls of his fallen opponents. You can acquire souls in two fashions: by defeating enemies and by discovering treasure chests strewn throughout the game. While you will get enough souls to upgrade your weaponry most of the way through normal gameplay, you will need to make a special effort to defeat extra opponents in order to fully upgrade your weaponry.
Unlock All Combat Moves
- Each weapon War obtains has a number of combat moves that can be unlocked. To unlock these moves, War must gain experience using that weapon in combat. In order to unlock all of the moves, War has to use every weapon he owns on a regular basis. For example, in one battle he would use the Chaoseater, for the next Mercy, and for the one after that he should use the throwing star. Instead of relying on a single weapon, War must use every weapon at his disposal in order to master them all.
Grinding
- Grinding is a term used in gaming that describes the process of engaging in battles for the sole purpose of gaining experience and making your character more powerful. During gameplay, War will naturally learn most of the moves and gain enough souls to upgrade his weapons with no additional effort by the player. However, in order to achieve Battle Hardened, players will need to return to areas, stay in areas with infinitely respawning enemies longer, and engage with every enemy they encounter in order to grind their way to the achievement.
