Reset Networking Equipment
Unplug the broadband cable or DSL modem from its AC outlet and leave it off for one minute.
Unplug the router from its AC outlet and leave it off for one minute.
Reconnect the broadband cable or DSL modem to its AC outlet and wait one minute for the connection to stabilize. Reconnect the router to its AC outlet and wait one minute for the connection to stabilize.
Reset Previously Entered Wireless Settings
Disconnect the Network Adapter if you're using one. Press the "Power" button to turn the Xbox on and press the "Guide" button on the center of the Xbox controller to turn the controller on.
Scroll to the "My Xbox" tab on the main menu using the directional pad or analog stick on the controller. Scroll to "System Settings" and press the "X" button. Select "Network Settings."
Select the name of your wireless network. Select "Configure Network." Scroll to the "Additional Settings" tab and select "Restore to Factory Defaults." Select "Yes, restore factory defaults" when prompted.
Press the "Power" button to turn the Xbox off and reconnect the Network Adapter if you're using one.
Configure Wireless Connection
Press the "Guide" button on the Xbox controller to turn the controller and the Xbox on simultaneously.
Scroll to the "My Xbox" tab on the main menu using the directional pad or analog stick on the controller. Scroll to "System Settings" and press the "X" button. Select "Network Settings."
Select "Configure Network." Scroll to the "Basic Settings" tab. Select "Wireless Mode." Select "Scan for Networks."
Select the name of your wireless network. Use the onscreen keyboard to enter the network's password (if any) and select "Done." Select "Test Xbox Live Connection." If the test is successful, you'll be able to connect to Xbox Live. If the test fails, the error code and most likely solution will be displayed on the screen.
