How to Get to Level 50 in Borderlands Fast

"Borderlands" is a science fiction shooter video game in which you must go on missions and fight vicious monsters and bandits in an attempt to find a mysterious vault. While a large chunk of the game's narrative is locating the vault, traversing the massive game world and leveling up are major aspects of gameplay. To be successful in discovering everything the game has to offer, you'll need to gain a lot of levels -- you can reach even Level 50 extremely quickly.

Instructions

    • 1

Accept as many missions as possible. At the start of the game, you're not going to have a huge selection of quests. However, as time goes on more and more side quests will become available. Do these and you'll get experience bonuses that far surpass any experience you can gain from killing monsters.

    • 2

Kill efficiently. When you're doing your quests, kill any enemy that gets in your path. There's little point in dodging monsters or dashing through hordes of enemies just to get to an objective. Kill the monsters and do it with utmost efficiency.

    • 3

Get to know enemy weaknesses. Killing monsters can be a breeze if you know their weak points. Spiderants are weak on the rear of their thorax but take minimal damage when shot from the front. Conversely, bandits can be taken out with clean head shots, whereas attacks from behind will be largely absorbed by their armor.

    • 4

Get familiar with the high-level areas. Pushing yourself by fighting tough foes is a great way to continue on the path towards Level 50. If you can handle it, Old Haven features some of the most vicious creatures. Simply travelling around there killing any monsters you find will level you up extremely fast.

    • 5

Play with some friends once you've polished some of the basics of leveling up. Borderlands scales enemies and difficulty up for additional players, allowing you to use teamwork to take down monsters faster without having to worry about splitting the experience with the other players.

    • 6

Move quickly. Spending too much time enjoying the scenery or reading up on the story will significantly slow your progress. In "Borderlands," the main ways to get experience are simply to get things done and to kill a lot of creatures along the way.
