How to Take Out a Scarab Tank

A Scarab is a tank from the popular Xbox video game series Halo. The Scarab tank is an enemy tank used by the Covenant enemy forces in the game. The Scarab tanks are built like a mobile fortress on spider legs with heavy weaponry and armor. Taking out a Scarab tank can be a difficult process; if you don't know the proper tricks and techniques to quickly disable the tank, you will quickly run out of ammo and possibly die.

Instructions

  Locate a rocket launcher in the level. If you do not have a rocket launcher, board a vehicle--preferably a Ghost vehicle, as they are fast and have effective firepower.

  Aim for one of the legs of the Scarab and shoot at it with the rocket launcher. If you do not have a rocket launcher, shoot at it with whatever weapon you have on the vehicle you are on. Do not shoot at the Scarab with your assault rifle or other small arms fire, as it is immune to this weaponry. Once the leg is destroyed, the Scarab will drop down to the ground.

  Rush towards the Scarab and enter via a dock on the back of the scarab. Enter the control room and be ready to fight a few enemies. Use your small arms fire and grenades to kill all the enemies inside the tank.

  Walk towards the control panel with a shield. Melee the shield with your weapon until it breaks, then melee the control panel. Once the control panel is destroyed, run out of the Scarab as it is about to self-destroy.
