Red Dead Redemption
In "Red Dead Redemption," you play as John Marston, a former outlaw who tried to make an honest life for himself as a farmer. Some crooked lawman kidnap his wife and son, however, and force him to hunt down his former gang. Made by the company that is famous for its "Grand Theft Auto" series, "Red Dead Redemption" plays much like those earlier titles as you must complete dozens of short missions to finish the story, but also have the chance to do a number of side missions to add to the overall enjoyment of the game.
Call of Juarez
In the first "Call of Juarez," from 2007, you play as two characters -- the shifty fugitive Billy and Reverend Ray, the bounty hunter who seeks to bring Billy to justice. This game feature actual firearms from the late 19th century, and you master revolver duels to finish the quest. You will also ride horses and complete stealth missions in the dozen plus levels in the game.
Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood
The second of the series, "Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood," puts you in the shoes of the McCall brothers. This Civil War-era game takes place in landscapes as widely varying as Georgia battlefields to Aztec ruins. The brothers desert their Confederate Army unit to save their homes and flee west to avoid their former commanding officer. They learn of hidden treasure in Mexico, and travel there to hunt for the loot in this 2009 title.
Gun
Travel across a variety of Western landscapes in "Gun." This 2005 title puts you in the role of Colton White, who seeks justice on foes that killed his father. Featuring voice acting from Thomas Jane, Lance Hendrickson and Kris Kristofferson, "Gun" tasks you with completing a variety of shootouts and horse riding chases to hunt down your father's murderers to seek revenge.
