How to Hook Up a Skullcandy Headset to HDMI

Skullcandy is a brand of headphones for music, movies and gaming. The headphones present a variety of unique visual styles to accompany the well-regarded sound quality the brand offers. Connecting the headsets to a device for High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) compatibility is rather simple, given that the gaming headsets have an integrated cable for game controller and headphone connectivity.

Instructions

  Separate the two leads coming from the Skullcandy Lowrider headset. Route one to the headphone-enabled television or receiver.

  Plug the indicated lead from the headset to the communications port at the base of the Xbox 360's controller. Plug the other lead into the headphone jack on the TV or receiver. Push the 1/4-inch adapter onto the end of the 1/8-inch plug, if required.

  Plug one end of the HDMI cable into the HDMI port at the lower right side of the rear of the Xbox 360 console. Route this cable to the HDMI-enabled television or receiver. Slide the other end of this cable into a free HDMI port on the audio or video device. Connect a second HDMI cable from the "HDMI Out" on the receiver to the television if both are in use.
