How to Videotape Your Xbox 360 With Xbox Vision

The Xbox Live Vision camera was a webcam device for the Xbox 360. Some games utilized it as a controller, while others used it for taking pictures. While it's use was limited on the Xbox 360 and it has since been replaced by the Kinect, Live Vision was also supported by Windows PCs for use as a webcam. Once connected to a Windows PC, the camera can be used to record anything, even footage of you playing an Xbox 360.

PC with Windows XP Service Pack 2 or later

Instructions

  Connect the Xbox Live Vision camera to a USB port on your PC.

  Wait for the "Found New Hardware" window to pop up.

  Press "Next" until asked about a driver. Choose to have Windows Update automatically find and install the driver.

  Install webcam software, if your computer does not already have it installed. The Xbox Live Vision camera works with most free and commercial webcam software.

  Start the webcam software and follow the instructions to set up the webcam.

  Face the webcam at your Xbox 360 and press the "Record" button in the software.
