How to Earn the Rank of a Spartan Officer on Halo 3

"Halo 3" was released in 2007 and is a first-person shooter game for the Xbox 360. Players control the actions of a powerful soldier known as "Master Chief" in his fight against evil aliens that threaten humanity. "Spartan Officer" is an achievement worth 25 gamerpoints and can only be earned in the online multiplayer portion of the game. Earning this achievement also grants players an item -- the "Rogue Helmet" -- which can be used in multiplayer modes.

  Start the game then select "Multiplayer" from the main menu. You need an Xbox Live "Gold" account to play online multiplayer games.

  Select the "Matchmaking" game lobby, then choose one of the ranked playlists. If you want to rely on your own skill, choose something like "Lone Wolves." If you are a team player, select something like "Team Tactical." The aim is to play the playlist you have chosen until you have reached 50 experience points. Experience points are earned by winning matches, but you can be penalized for quitting, too, so stick with it. It doesn't matter which playlist you get the experience points in, but it must be in one playlist and not the cumulative total.

  Play any of the ranked playlists in multiplayer until your cumulative experience total is more than 70. This gives you a global rank of Lieutenant and coupled with he 50 experience points in a single ranked playlist, you can unlock the achievement "Spartan Officer."
